Note from Colin

Hi David,

Just got this brief note back from Fred Haise.

Colin,

That certainly brought back those memories. A good warm up for all the events coming up .... starting next Tuesday at JSC. Spending quiet Easter in Houston. I think the most of cold weather is behind us.

Wishing you well, Freddo

'll let him know when the rest of the audio is online.

Nice of him to write!

best wishes

Colin

Apollo 13 Reentry and Recovery Audio Files

Colin Mackellar has graciously consented to apply his considerable technical skills to editing, enhancing and preserving the audio files made at my MC console.  Colin hosts the Honeysuckle Creek website that, along with many other missions, celebrates the critical role of the final groundstation, located in Canberra, Australia, to have contact with the Apollo 13 crew just before their reentry blackout and just as ARIA coverage began. The link to his website is http://www.honeysucklecreek.net/ and the link to the audios will be posted here as they become available.
